Which server should I start on?
New players typically start on The Island — it's our primary EU PVE map and the most beginner-friendly environment in ARK. Resources are plentiful, the terrain is well-known, and there are usually other players around to help. Once you are settled and registered, cluster transfers let you move characters, dinos, and gear freely between all of our EU maps: The Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration, Astraeos and all others.
Do I need to install mods?
Yes. Yggdrasil runs a curated collection of quality-of-life and building mods that improve the experience without changing core gameplay. When you join a server for the first time, ARK Survival Ascended will automatically prompt you to download and install the required mods. Make sure all mods are fully up to date before connecting — outdated mods are the most common cause of failed join attempts.
Do I need to register after joining?
Yes. Registration is required within 7 days of your first play session. Join our Discord and follow the pinned instructions in the #📝-register-here channel. Use the exact map name when registering — for The Island use Ark SA Island. Each tribe member must register individually, including members who join your tribe later. Unregistered players are subject to removal after the grace period.
Are the servers passworded or whitelisted?
No — all Yggdrasil EU PVE servers are open to everyone. There is no whitelist and no password required. Simply search for Yggdrasil in the ARK server browser, tick Show Player Servers, and click the map you want to join. All of our servers appear under Unofficial Player Servers in the ASA browser.
What are the server rates?
Our rates are boosted to be enjoyable for players who cannot grind full-time. XP, harvest, taming, and breeding multipliers are all significantly enhanced compared to vanilla ARK. The exact values are visible on the Servers page and update live. Rates are designed to keep the game rewarding while reducing the most repetitive parts of survival.
Who do I contact if I have a problem?
All support goes through Discord. Join using the button below and post your question in the appropriate channel, or open a private ticket for sensitive matters. The admin team monitors the server regularly. For grief reports or rule violations, use #open-a-ticket and include screenshots, timestamps, and the player's in-game name.
